Hello there, my name is Ethan Cobb, and welcome to Free City Network! This is my online platform where you can view my portfolio of work as well as other projects I'm working on. My expertise lies in working with sound, both recording on set, as well as mixing and editing. I'm experienced in working with and troubleshooting computers; running both Windows and Linux (Debian + Fedora). In fact, this website was built in VS Code on Ubuntu (and a bit on Fedora KDE!)!
Where does the name 'Free City Network' come from, you ask? Great question. The answer is that originated back in 2019, when a friend and mine were learning about the concepts of overlay networks in secondary school. I chose to use the name 'Free City Network' as our hypothetical network system. Even though FCN has nothing to do with overlay network development anymore, the value of the name still stands, so here's the breakdown of the name:
Free - Short for 'freedom'. Everyone loves that right?
City - Well, cities have a lot of people don't they? And what do you need for huge projects to be successful? People!
Network - People that you know, considered as a group whose members exchange information with each other. (Thanks Cambridge Dictionary!)
Anyway, that's all from me. If you want to get in touch with me, you can find my contact information below. Bye for now!
